People say this whakataukī when Matariki can be seen bright in the night sky. The rays of its stars are thought to carry messages for the people. Matariki is a time to share stories, reflect on the past, and plan for the future.
Every year, New Zealand discards over 5 million tires, with over 70% ending up in landfills.
Doing our bit to prevent waste, we have a whānau that creates these earrings from locally-sourced recycled tires. They repurpose this material to create our simple, yet striking collection of earrings.
Shaped with precision by a whānau based in Porirua, these gorgeous rounded and pointed tip feather-like form earrings are handmade and feature a minimal geometric design, finished off with a hypoallergenic rhodium plated wire clasp.
With a variety of colours available, you’ll be certain to find a pair you’ll fall in love with.
All our earrings are handmade in Aotearoa from locally-sourced recycled tires.
